BodyByMerr was started in 2021. As a previous project manager, I was an endurance athlete for more than a decade in trail running half and full marathon distances, focusing on a plant-based diet, lots of yoga and meditation. In the last few years, I've transitioned to weightlifting, whole foods, more mindset work and taking it to the competition level in Vegas in 2023.
At BodyByMerr, the mindset is to take a holistic approach to fitness. The belief that fitness is not just about strength training, but also about fueling your mind and body, hydration, sleep, mindset, moving your body throughout the day and chasing some joy. The goal for me is to create a personalized program that addresses all aspects of your health and wellness.
Choose from either a one-time training session, a nutrition consult or select packages that support a change in lifestyle. Lifestyle changes take support, a plan and practice. Occasionally, there are offerings of small group classes and workshops through the local University Y Student Center in downtown Tacoma that I offer as part of your YMCA membership.
